Notes: I feel weird rec-ing a song from a website I’m part of, but I just couldn’t help it. Having followed Ana’s journey as a vidder, I can’t state enough how much of a fan of hers that I’ve become now. This video merges both the Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis shows so perfectly together that it’s not even funny. She actually turned them into one big show, both in terms of action and emotion. Actually, I’m not really sure what to say here, I suppose it’s just one of those things you have to see to understand them.

Notes: I didn’t really care for Kill Bill until I saw this vid. Actually, I hated Vol 1 when I saw it, but then I fell in love with Vol 2… and I guess the vid had something to do with it. It covers all the action-packed aspects of the movies, but at the same time shows some of the emotion and the sweetness that they have (or actually Vol 2 has). Not to mention it’s just really fun to watch. I’m particularly in love with the sequence showing the relationship between Bill and “the Bride”…

Notes: Linda is probably my favorite HP vidder and this video shows why. I don’t think there’s a better vid done to this song than this one. She somehow managed to edit this vid in a way where the scenes match the lyrics, and the way they keep spinning actually makes you understand the song in its essence… if you know what I mean. She actually made me feel dizzy… in a good way, in this case… and she’s the only one that can say that..–I don’t know why I didn’t rec this vid sooner myself. This is a must-see for everyone who comes into my home, just so I can get them in a great mood!–Jenn

Notes: I love Supernatural, it’s one of my favourite shows on TV these days! But what really caught my eye with this was the Roswell element! I was a big Roswell fan but never in my life I’d think about putting both shows together, specially in a shippy video between SN’s Dean and Roswell’s Maria. Lady-T did such an incredible job with this video… if you don’t know that these are characters from 2 completely different shows, you’ll trully believe it’s all into one! This is how great the video is! Plus, the effects and the b/w scenes help create the perfect AU mood…

Notes: I have to admit I’m not a big fan of vids that feature a heavy load of effects, but thank god there’s always an exception to every rule! This video by Shayz wouldn’t even have half of its appeal if it was just your average ‘cut/drag’ kind of vid! She really explored the concept of Weir’s time travel during “Before I Sleep”, turning it into this awsome fast-paced, psychodelic, intergalactic voyage! Blink and you WILL miss it…

This is going to take awhile! This post is a long overdue update of recent submissions, so without further ado….
“Drag” is an awsomely cute McShep SGA vid from Ana. I rec’d this one because it’s just so kicky and fun, not to mention perfectly edited!
“The Boy Was A Puppet” was rec’d by obsessive24 and this vid by Fabella is a truly powerful, gut-wrenching Harry Potter vid. I actually shuddered by the end of this one. Amazing! Not knowing much about The O.C., I can appreciate obsessive24’s rec of Fabella’s vid “Queer” only for the great story and editing that show.
Fans of Faith from BtVS and Ats will love Katie’s vid “Confession”, rec’d by Aimee. I was a Faith-hater, but this vid is really awesome. I recommend that even those who didn’t like Faith check out this vid straight away!
That Ana is making SG-1 and SGA vids is um, video to my ears? Di rec’d Ana’s vid “End of The World” and I wholeheartedly second it. This vid touches on the downside of intergalactic goings on while striking a surprising emotional chord. Di also rec’d Ryan’s “We Used To Be Friends” which is hands down the best Kill Bill vid I’ve seen. Again, a great vid with action AND emotion. A real winner! “Vertigo” the well-known vid/ride by Linda was also rec’d by Di and can be found on the Harry Potter page. Talk about energy! There are at least three places I can think of that made me woozy watching Linda’s masterpiece and this vid is definitely not for the faint of heart!
Ana returned the favor of her many recs by adding our very first Supernatural rec! “Gifts & Curses” by Tere is actually a Supernatural/Roswell crossover and since I know nothing about either show, I can only say that this vid is edited very well and contains a lot of beautiful people :) Ana also rec’d “24″ a trippy SGA vid by Shayz. I never dropped acid, but I’m pretty sure if I did, the results would be a lot like “24″. The vid is only available on PutFile and is the last of its kind to be accepted on this site, but I’m very glad Ana got it in before the new rules came along!

Notes: Watch this vid because it takes a different stance from most supernatural vids. The boys are still there looking pretty but the Impala is the one telling the story and she is not a happy girl. It has a great feel with a lovely soft focus that makes the car shine and really puts it at the forefront of the video. Astarte really brings the car to life and offers up some high quality car p0rn. It really shows the car as a character in the show.

Notes: This is not the sort of song that immediately comes to mind when thinking of Supernatural. A lot of folks tend to vid the show to Dean’s taste in music with the result that the videos can be a bit “samey”. This song choice allows for a more emotionally powerful study of the show’s family dynamic but there is still plenty of action in there. There is some great cutting and effects editing in there that really suit both the song and the show.

Thanks, Charmax for the two Supernatural recs! “Evening On The Ground” is great, what with the offbeat song (which I think contains at least one f-bomb, so consider yourself warned :lol:), the smooth editing, and the emotional storytelling. Lithium Doll has done a great one, indeed.
“Hey Pretty” is one of my favorite songs, and now I have a shiny new vid to enjoy along with it. Charmax’ description of Astarte’s vid had me at “hello”! The vid is the story as told by–the car. Oh, how I knew I’d love it. It’s quirky, but never crosses into gimmickland.  I’ll be looping this soft-focus gem for quite a bit.
